About the job
Our commissary team is dedicated to making delicious, sustainable, and creative food for guests with the highest quality ingredients available. The Commissary Dishwasher / Prep Cook is essential to the success of our kitchen every day.
This position is based out of our West Sacramento facility.
The schedule for this position is Thursday - Monday, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
You Will
Wash and sanitize kitchen equipment, smallwares, and utensils utilizing handwashing and dishwashing machinery at a rapid paceMaintain the dishwashing area throughout the day and ensure all dishes are handled safely and with food safety considerationsExecute daily ongoing responsibilities along with any other momentary requests that may arise through the course of the production dayRefill and restock ingredients as necessary, replenishing production supplies and cleaning materialsParticipate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning routinesSupport the savory and pastry teams in food preparation; this includes scaling recipes for from-scratch recipes, mixing and combining ingredients, slicing using a deli slicer, and portioning finished productsSupport your teammates in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by communicating effectively, collaborating, and pitching in wherever neededEnsure your station and equipment are in tip-top shape, always cleaning as you goPrioritize food safety and physical safety in the workspace as paramountAdhere to GMP policies and practices within the commissary and production facility, utilizing PPE and following dress codePractice kitchen etiquette while moving through our workspaceWork in close physical proximity with your teammatesArrive on time and ready for your shift - working proactively and efficientlyAnticipate the need to pivot and adapt when plans change

You have
Relevant experience working in a professional kitchenA thorough understanding of how to safely operate in a professional kitchen environment, responsibly operating, cleaning and maintaining professional equipmentA deep love for food and creating exceptional products for guestsThe ability to work five days per week, including at least one weekend shift and holidays as requiredFood Handler’s Certificate or certification within 30 days of hireThe ability to read and speak English proficientlyBasic math and writing skills
