Join Our Team at the Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice  

Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? We are looking for compassionate and reliable Volunteer Drivers to join our dedicated hospice team in Glasgow. As a Volunteer Patient Driver, you’ll play a vital role in helping patients access the care they need by providing safe and supportive transport to and from the hospice.

What You'll Do: 

• Collect patients from their homes at a prearranged time and bring them to the hospice. 

• Return patients home after day services, outpatient appointments, or discharge from the ward. 

• Ensure patients gain safe entry to their homes. 

• Refer any medical, social, or personal concerns expressed by patients to hospice staff. 

• Assist with other related tasks when needed. 

What You’ll Need:  

• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. 

• Good interpersonal and communication skills. 

• The ability to deal sensitively with patients and visitors. 

• Reliability, responsibility, and a caring nature. 

• A good knowledge of the local area. 

• An understanding of confidentiality and the needs of those affected by end-of-life care.
