Overview
We collect plenty of information on what our customers buy from us in the UK, US, Germany and other international markets and we need someone to help us dive into it and build our growth plans.
In this role, you will use data to build a picture of our customers’ shopping behaviours to understand the factors involved in winning and retaining valuable customers. You will help us to design the strategy and objectives required to deliver our growth ambitions, through improving the health and value of our customer base. You will then help us track and understand performance against that plan, and drive action required to either correct course or grasp new opportunities.
Location: 3 days per week based at our North Acton Office.
What You Will Do
Support Finance and Marketing teams with forecasting and budgeting, using relevant analysis, metrics and modelling.
Set and monitor key business objectives around customer acquisition, retention and value with a clear link to business performance.
Work with the wider Trading Analytics team to understand how these metrics are influencing current business performance, including diagnosing any problems and recommending actions.
Identify key customer attributes and behaviours that lead to higher lifetime value, and translate these into clear actions & recommendations for change
Regularly communicate with other analysts across the business to share best practices in analytics and reporting.
Work with our Business Intelligence team to design and improve actionable, insightful reporting.
What We Are Looking For
Previous experience in customer analysis and/or financial planning, ideally in retail.
Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.
Experience using SQL and ideally Python/R.
Strong Analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate relevant insights to the wider business.
Degree level or equivalent.
A curious mindset; driving understanding and action rather than simply providing answers.
Strong communication skills and an ability to positively express opinions and affect change.
Strong data storytelling skills; able to simplify a complex story for senior stakeholders.
Ability to collaborate across teams.
