The Position

As part of Pharma Technical Development (PTD) our organization is committed to deliver the Pharma ambitions by bringing game-changing therapies from clinical phase I into the market to serve every patient, every day.  Our core business is to develop safe, innovative and effective drugs using cutting edge technologies for manufacturing process (Drug Substance and Drug Product), clinical supply, formulation, device, packaging, and analytical development.

The opportunity

As the Business Process Expert Drug Product Manufacturing Automation and Systems Integration you will provide specific services and support in the area of systems management and automation enhancement for the Drug Product Manufacturing at PTDC. This role is key to enable smooth operations for existing MES / SAP / Logistics / Instrument integrations and for further developing automation solutions  in Technical Development for PTDC. You align business requirements with several partners and stakeholders and support the technical implementation. The role is anchored in PTDC “Synthetic Molecules Technical Development”.

As the Business Process Expert your key contributions are :

  • Providing technical and architectural guidance for the GMP manufacturing execution systems landscape for PTDC 

  • Analysing complex business problems to be solved with automated systems

  • Work with stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities, define solutions, create roadmaps, and manage implementations to align with business strategies and processes

  • Planning, performing and implementing process improvements and projects

  • Support of the operations of the existing manufacturing execution systems landscape for the Drug Product Manufacturing at PTDC

  • Support root cause analysis of problems and the solution

  • Establish strong relationships across business functions to develop a strategy for delivering GMP-compliant IT solutions to achieve business objectives

Who you are

You have a MS in computer science, life science or related field and at least 15 years of experience e.g. as a business analyst or automation engineer in a science based organization developing solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing . You are a pragmatic problem solver and strong in executing projects and operational tasks.

For this position you bring the following qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience of Pharmasuite MES implementation and related processes and IT systems, such as logistics and ERP solutions

  • Deep understanding of the informatics landscape in the pharma/biotech industry, with expertise in manufacturing data management life cycle, digitalization

  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for various audiences and effectively influence and negotiate solutions. Proficient in English and German

  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and methodologies like waterfall and agile

  • Solid understanding of GMP and CSV

  • Proven track record of implementation experience in the manufacturing and automation area
