Hybrid Customs Specialist bei Trafigura

Main Purpose:

Responsible for the regularization of DAMS (Customs Declarations of Goods) for Exports and Imports in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the company's metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Customs Expertise:  Perform all the activities related to Foreign Trade. Need to work as a liaison between the operations area and customs agents, verifying if the documents reported into customs procedures are correct and monitor them to get the regularization or customs approval in a timely manner.

• Coordinate with different areas to comply with exports regularizations and imports final regularization:  Operations, Accounting, WSMD, Finance.   

• Support Customs Audit:  Support any customs audit requirement and organize the documents to be prepared for any audit.

• Reporting: Track the Export and Import DAMS and prepare reports to see the status of them and monitor kpis in order to identify areas that are not complying with the objectives.

Requirements

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in  Foreign Trade, Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field .

• 3 or 4 years working in a Customs agent is a must.

• Strong strategic thinking and business planning skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).

• Bilingual: English and Spanish

Key Relationships and Department Overview:

Internal – Support functions based in MVD: Accounting, Operations, WSMD and Finance. Close work with Impala Peru operations

External – Customs agency and Customs agents
