TRIUMF’s student program typically hires ~40 students each term from across all disciplines who hang together socially and professionally during the term, and beyond. Our program offers young minds a chance to gather, learn, make new friends, and have fun doing so during their time at TRIUMF. We hold weekly ProD sessions for students which include different activities such as conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and active listening. Additionally, we hold weekly seminars about the different experiments at TRIUMF, and these talks specifically cater to students. Located on the UBC campus makes it easier for students to make friends, create memories, and explore Vancouver all while working at TRIUMF.

We are seeking a creative Motion Designer and illustrator to join a team of media experts to develop compelling visual animations and design elements showcased at the historic EMISXX conference in Whistler, BC. This work will also contribute to marketing, social media, and electronic presskit materials used throughout all TRIUMF media activities.
Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Develop and build high-quality motion graphic animations for creative media experiences.
Create visually appealing vector graphics for digital and print media productions, such as banners, posters, brochures, and branding materials.
Collaborate with the creative team members to conceptualize and execute content development projects from start to finish.
Work closely with TRIUMF researchers, event organizers, and design leaders to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Curiosity for science and experience in graphic and motion design principles, visual and media arts, or related areas of interest.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,) are examples.
Experience in 2D and 3D asset management and preparation for print.
Ability to contribute to project success as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
