About The Role

Our client is looking for a Social Media & Community Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in creating and managing content for social and community platforms, engaging with community members, and staying updated with current trends. This is a fully remote position requiring candidates to be located in the US and work CST hours, with occasional after-hours support for product launches and campaigns.


Salary Range

The starting annual base salary for this role is $65-80K USD, depending on location, knowledge, skills, experience, and education.


Responsibilities

Strategy

- Develop comprehensive social media strategies and tactical plans to meet long-term business goals, support product launches, and raise awareness of the hiring company on social media by increasing brand awareness and community engagement.

- Manage all owned social media accounts on a day-to-day basis, including but not limited to Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Twitch, Pinterest, YouTube.

- Create strategies and tactics for activating influencers, esports teams, and brand partnerships, including social strategy development, content wishlist creation, and content calendar management.

- Conduct weekly analyses of social media performance metrics to refine strategies and optimize engagement.

- Generate reports for product launches; track and analyze social media metrics, campaign performance, and provide insights to enhance performance in monthly reports shared with key stakeholders.


Content

- Create engaging content in a timely manner to meet current trends in social media, ensuring the hiring company stays relevant on all platforms.

- Build a library of short-form videos, long-form videos, images, and memes for use on owned social platforms and to support local social channels.

- Collaborate with a paid media agency to document and boost selected social posts to meet business needs.


Community Management

- Engage with the community daily via comments and direct messages on Discord and Reddit.

- Work collaboratively with the Customer Service team to ensure timely resolution of customer issues posted on social media.

- Maintain relationships with the community and overall forum to provide insights into upcoming events and share announcements.


Requirements

- Located and authorized to work in the United States.

- Professional fluency in English.

- Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection.

- Demonstrated alignment with the hiring company's core values: taking ownership, working collaboratively, showing respect, being curious, and acting both quickly and decisively.

- Professional certifications and/or formal training/education in social media, community management, marketing, or other relevant fields.

- 4+ years of direct professional experience independently managing an organization’s social media and community presence across multiple platforms simultaneously.

- Proven experience working independently and collaboratively to develop content and maintain a content calendar.

- Demonstrated experience using content, social media, and community channels to promote product releases/updates.

- Proven adherence to brand guidelines, communication standards, and established processes when publishing content, replies, or reposts from other creators.

- Genuine curiosity to test and experiment and find new ways to connect with the audience.

- Enthusiasm for online gaming and an understanding of what types of content resonate most with the broader community.


Preferred Skills & Abilities

- Demonstrated experience with social media scheduling tools including Hootsuite, Sprout Social, and Buffer.

- Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and its impact on social media content.

- Experience with project management tools like Asana.

- Graphic design skills or experience creating simple images for social media platforms.

- Strong attention to detail; excellent written communication skills.

- The ability to work independently without direct supervision.
