Saalex is seeking an Engineering Technician VI -Fabrication in China Lake, CA. Saalex is an Engineering and Information Technology Services company with a focus on Test Range Operations and Management, Engineering and Logistics Services, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Services and Information Technology Services.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $29.95-47.50/hour (depending upon expereince)

Work Location: Fully onsite.

Job Summary:

The Fabrication Incumbent will be a key member of the AMTD team, responsible for a wide range of fabrication and welding tasks. This individual will work closely with engineers, metallurgists, and technicians to develop and refine fabrication techniques and practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and metallurgy and a passion for innovation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lathes, mills, and other machine shop machines to fabricate components.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards.

Requirements

Required:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant machining experience.
• Proficiency in operating lathes, mills, and various machining equipment.
• Must have strong attention to detail and precision.
• Must have problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required. Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus and will be considered valuable.

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
