University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 180 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology is looking for a full-time Lung Screening Coordinator/Thyroid Biopsy Scheduler for our Warren, NJ Imaging Office.

 

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Handles all cases from beginning to end on the Medinformatix Screening Orders list.
  • Verifies the accuracy of the patient history entered into MI.
  • Tracks all abnormal cases 100% of the time: a) Notification letter sent, b) Recall letter sent, c) Phone call is made to the patient, d) Appointment is scheduled in the RIS, e) Certified letter sent to the patient and referring physician)
  • Stuff/ meter Lung patient Notification/Recall letters mailed daily.
  • Schedule ALL Lung Screening CT exams.
  • Schedule thyroid ultrasound biopsy procedures 
  • Interview Lung Screening patients and enter their history in the Lung Screening Module in Medinformatix, notify Referring physician if the patient does not qualify for the Lung Screening program.
  • Track all follow-up for Lung Screening patients.
  • Be familiar with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Conform to URG dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Excellent computers skills with the ability to learn new systems and software
  • Medical terminology

Pay Range:

From $20/hr
