Job Description/Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to support clinical and operational reporting initiatives. In this role, you'll work closely with stakeholders to extract, manipulate, and analyze data to support strategic decision-making. While healthcare experience is not required, strong SQL skills, Power BI dashboards and a passion for data integrity are essential.

Responsible for collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets to discover useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making. This position utilizes various techniques under various umbrellas, such as descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and inferential statistics, to interpret and understand the patterns and behaviors within data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries to support clinical and operational reporting needs.
  • Work with various data sources to extract and transform data for analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used in reports and dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data extraction and reporting.

1. Data Quality and Integrity

  • Ensure that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable throughout its lifecycle, which is critical for making valid and trustworthy decisions
  • Cleanse data and scrutinize computer-generated reports and outputs to identify and rectify coding errors

2. Collecting Data from Various Sources

  • Gather data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and third-party sources and ensure the upkeep of databases and data systems.

3. Developing and Supporting Reporting Processes

  • Create and maintain processes to generate accurate and timely reports that help stakeholders understand and act on key data insights
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements
  • Engage with managers from various departments to specify data requirements for analysis projects tailored to their unique business processes

4. Developing Automated Processes for Data Scraping

  • Design scripts and tools to automatically extract large volumes of data from websites or other digital sources, improving efficiency and availability.

5. Interpret Data

  • Detect, examine, and decode trends or patterns within intricate datasets 
  • Employ statistical techniques to scrutinize data and produce actionable business insights
  • Your analyses will help extract meaningful insights and trends, which can then inform business decisions and strategies
  • Develop data dashboards, charts, and visual aids to support decision-making across departments

6. Performs Complex Analyses

  • Conduct in-depth data analyses using advanced statistical methods and tools to uncover patterns, correlations, and insights

7. Maintaining Databases

  • You will be entrusted with the responsibility of managing and updating databases to ensure they are secure, accessible, and functioning properly. Your role is crucial in supporting ongoing data storage and retrieval needs.

8. Collaboration

  • Coordinate with management to align business and informational priorities
  • Collaborate with the management team to determine and rank the needs of different business units.

Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a comparable discipline is required, with prior experience in data analysis or a related field.
  • ExperiencePossess a solid foundation in statistics and practical experience with statistical software (such as Excel, SPSS, SAS) and mastery in data analysis languages including SQL, Python, and R.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience writing complex queries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis (healthcare experience is a plus, but not required).
