Your Role

As a Senior MLOps Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Machine Learning Engineering and AI Platforms teams to build cloud infrastructure, deploy models, and enhance the analytics lifecycle through automation and continuous improvement.

You play a key role in deploying and maintaining machine learning models on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring they are accurate, efficient, and compliant with governance standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and build MLOps solutions to address common analytics lifecycle challenges.
• Develop infrastructure and automation for continuous improvement of ML applications on GCP.
• Maintain analytics platform components including DevOps, MLOps, and model monitoring.
• Monitor health and performance of deployed ML Applications and escalate issues as needed.
• Facilitate collaboration between data science and data engineering teams.
• Ensure deployed applications models meet governance and compliance standards.

This is a permanent role, offers a flexible hybrid work model. We welcome applicants from Gadigal Country (Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne) or Meanjin (Brisbane).

About You

• Excellent experience in MLOps or DevOps.
• Expertise in GCP, Terraform, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins), Python, and Shell scripting.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and Docker/Kubernetes experience.
• Familiarity with data/streaming pipelines (e.g., Kafka).
• Knowledge of GCP services (Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, IAM, SQL, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub).
• Understanding of ML pipelines and deployment frameworks.
• Experience working cross-functionally with data science and engineering teams.
• Strong grasp of cloud security, governance, and compliance.
• Proficiency in monitoring and evaluating ML model performance.
