Gonzalez Companies is a partner managed firm that provides comprehensive Planning, Design, and Construction Management Services to large and small Water, Sewer and Utility Districts; Departments of Transportation; and municipalities. As we have recently expanded into the Ohio market, we are currently seeking a Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater to help serve our connection of clients and community.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Provide water engineering design services, which include everything from helping clients with water treatment plant upgrades to replacing lead service lines.
- Provide wastewater engineering design services, which include everything from retrofitting wastewater treatment plants to correcting effluent exceedances.
- Apply standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies in results, and follow standard office procedures through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
- Draft reports, prepare plans, assist with specifications and make preliminary equipment selections.
- Work with clients to get data or share information.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Must also have obtained your Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
- Minimum of 3-7+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering projects.
- Proficient in relevant engineering software and tools, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work effectively in a team-oriented environment
