Role Overview:
The Heavy Equipment Supervisor oversees district heavy equipment operators and ensures efficient scheduling of both operators and the equipment they use. In addition to primary responsibilities, this role would also be tasked with taking on special projects. These are projects that typically cannot be performed by subdistrict maintenance crews and are identified by the Maintenance Field Engineer and/or Technical Services Asset Manager. This position will work closely with both of these employees to address larger roadway issues, ensuring their successful resolution. Additionally, in this role, you will work closely with Logistics to aid with the transportation of equipment throughout the district.
Location:
This position is located in INDOT's Seymour Garage.
CDL Positions:
Candidates with a current CDL will earn an additional $1 per hour for this position. Candidates without a CDL will be given 90 days to obtain their CDL, with training provided by INDOT, and will then earn an additional $1 per hour upon successfully obtaining their CDL.
Salary Statement:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00, but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
