Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled  RF and Ground Segment Technician to join our team and play a critical role in the RF team is a leading player in the satellite communication industry, with a strong focus on delivering robust RF infrastructure solutions for commercial video services and satellite missions. We operate the largest teleport in Europe, boasting over 220 antennas and cutting-edge technology, and we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as an RF and Ground Segment Technician. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, teamwork, and professional development.

 

Who You Are:

An RF technician is responsible for the maintenance of antennas, he has knowledge in radio frequency, mechanics, and computer science to quickly restore services in case of failure.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Run the day-to-day operations of the entire antenna network, spanning from UHF to Q-band frequencies. (included L-Band, C-Band, Ka-Band, DBS-Band, V-Band)
  • Monitor and optimize station performance to meet mission requirements.
  • Keep in operation entire L-band signal distribution infrastructure.
  • Support all antenna missions such as Video Services transmission, Broadband Services, TT&C, payload supervision, and In-Orbit Testing (IOT) of satellites, ESVA activities, etc…
  • Be involve in the RF spool warehouse management, mechanical repairing activities and electronical repair activities related to the laboratory for High-Power Amplifiers (HPA).
  • Ensure a 24/7 On-Call support to provide a Level 2/3 Support for all services and infrastructure incidents.

 

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, satellite communication industry, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in RF engineering and operations within the satellite communication industry.
  • Good knowledge in the use of measurement tools such as spectrum analyzers, monitoring tools like Dataminer
  • Proven track record in managing antenna networks and associated infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of frequency bands.
