Position Summary
The Supply Chain Business Analyst is responsible for strengthening the efficiency and impact of business operations. Assesses processes and systems to identify areas for cost savings opportunities, internal compliance issues, contract performance, and operational improvements. Executes cost containment strategies to control non-labor spend for specified service line(s). Provides exceptional customer support for various supply chain-related systems and other third-party applications.
Essential Functions
• Analyzes business customer operations to understand strengths and weaknesses, determining opportunities to improve systems, processes, and functions.
• Provides analytical leadership and uses advanced knowledge of business analysis practices and techniques to define and enforce standards/best practices.
• Identifies cost savings and utilization opportunities within dedicated service line(s) by collaborating with departments, local and national Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO), and product benchmarking services.
• Facilitates change management and activities related to product introduction/implementation.
• Focuses on the analysis of resources to include product and distribution standardization, operational improvements and efficiencies, inventory maintenance, charge code compliance, and the financial performance of contracted vendors and partners.
• Identifies contracts that are not in compliance and provides recommendations and assistance with implementing corrective measures to ensure compliance is achieved.
• Participates in strategic meetings with suppliers and business leaders to ensure execution of defined strategies, contractual requirements, and emerging technology.
• Creates informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Recommends controls by identifying problems and assists with writing improved procedures.
• Conducts insightful ad-hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
• Maintainsreasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
• Coordinates project activities by tracking and directing progress, providing regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Continuously monitors data quality across systems to identify and resolve inconsistencies or discrepancies.
• Increases customer proficiency by providing training to new users and communicating best practices to existing users.
• Designs quick reference guides and other documentation to support customer training and system knowledge.
Education/Training
• Bachelor’s Degree required. Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree. High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
• Offsetting experience must be in the field of purchasing, supply management, or healthcare.

Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of business analysis experience, preferably in healthcare, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels required.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PowerQuery, X-Lookups, V-Lookups, Pivot tables, VBA, and various functions required.
