Mid-Level Backend Developer

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Backend Developer to join the team in Long Beach, CA. 

We are looking for a talented Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our high-performance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of server-side programming and experience with backend technologies. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain server-side applications and services

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic

  • Design and implement application programming interface (APIs) and web services for data exchange

  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability

  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve development processes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with backend development (Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, SQL Server)

  • 3+ years of experience in programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Python, SQL, etc.

  • 3+ years of experience with Web Service integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)

  • 3+ years of experience with version control systems such as Git, ClearCase, or Subversion

  • 3+ years of experience in full software development life-cycle

  • 3+ years of experience in Agile Methodologies

  • Experience with database technologies, such as SQL Server, Teradata, Postgres, MySQL and/or NoSQL technologies (ElasticSearch, MarkLogic, Mongo)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)

  • Experience with analytic platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Cloud, Tableau, Databricks, Apache Spark, etc.)

  • Experience with microservice architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

Summary pay range: $100,300 – $135,700
