About Skyscanner
Everyone loves travelling, but planning is not without its challenges. That's why we've spent 20 years building tools that turn travel-planning chaos into a breeze. Today, around 100 million travellers count on us every month to skip the whole “47 browser tabs open” phase and find flights, cars, and hotels quickly and easily.
Joining Skyscanner means becoming part of a global brand that's striving to become the planet's go-to travel hack accessible for all.
Our vision? To be the world's number one travel ally. (Ambitious? Yes, but, hey, that's what got us here).
Now, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Treasury Operations Specialist to help us bring that vision to even more travellers.
About the role
(Hybrid)
Our Finance Tribe exists to Protect Today and Power Tomorrow — ensuring robust financial control, efficient operations, and forward-looking insight that powers Skyscanner’s global growth.
Treasury sits at the core of that mission. We manage liquidity, investments, foreign exchange, and intercompany funding across multiple currencies and entities, partnering closely with leading global banks and cross-functional Finance teams.
We’re hiring an energetic, hands-on Treasury professional who brings pace, ownership, and curiosity. This isn’t a playbook role — there’s real opportunity and expectation to identify, drive, and deliver improvements that strengthen our Treasury operations.
What you’ll be doing
Treasury Operations
• Execute and oversee daily settlements for FX trades, intercompany flows, and money market investments — ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls.
• Perform and review reconciliations of bank accounts, cash positions, and Treasury transactions, promptly investigating and resolving any variances.
• Maintain complete documentation for audit and compliance purposes, ensuring all Treasury activities are traceable and well-controlled.
• Support company credit card programme administration, including new applications, limit management, cardholder reviews, and policy compliance.
Bank Account Management & KYC
• Support end-to-end bank account administration — opening, closing, and maintaining accounts across multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate completion of bank KYC and compliance reviews, ensuring documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with group policies.
• Maintain a central record of authorised signatories, mandates, and account structures within Kyriba
• Act as a key liaison between Treasury and global banking partners, ensuring operational continuity, service excellence, and adherence to security standards.
• Proactively identify opportunities to rationalise accounts, streamline banking processes, and strengthen control frameworks.
Continuous Improvement
• Challenge existing processes and drive automation through Kyriba, Workday, and Excel to deliver faster, smarter outcomes.
• Lead or contribute to Treasury projects, from new system functionality to enhanced controls or reporting.
• Own documentation and process updates, ensuring clarity, consistency, and scalability.
• Bring energy and ideas to the table — spotting opportunities to simplify, digitise, and strengthen the way Treasury operates
About you
Experience & Technical Skills
• 3–5 years’ experience in Treasury, Finance Operations, or a related role with exposure to bank account management and settlements. • Proven understanding of cash management, reconciliations, settlements, and internal controls.
• Familiarity with Treasury Management Systems (Kyriba preferred) and ERP systems (e.g., Workday).
• Strong Excel and data analysis capabilities to produce accurate, actionable reporting.
• Experience in bank KYC processes, account administration, and working directly with external banking partners.
Personal Attributes
• Precision-driven, analytical, and methodical, with high attention to detail.
• Strong sense of accountability and ownership — able to operate independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Excellent communicator, confident engaging with both internal stakeholders and external banking partners.
• Collaborative and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset
