Support program compliance for state and federal agencies, third-party and customer audits. Some travel may be required. Schedule may vary as needed to meet business needs. This Job is intended to support the QA Manager through leadership of QA Supervisors and Auditors.

COMPENSATION: $70,000 - $85,000/Year DOE

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee Quality and Food Safety programs such as HACCP and BRC.
  • Collaborate with management to develop system processes related to Food Safety and Quality.
  • Coordinate and assist with training initiatives, SWS, GMP, HACCP.
  • Coordinate BRC and Costco audit compliance initiatives by performing and leading internal audits, delivering CAPA results and co-leading official audits alongside QA Manager.
  • Lead Food Safety and Quality Culture initiatives.
  • Assist QA Manager with consumer complaint investigations and responses.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and strategies to address non-conformances.
  • Enforce programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead key strategies to affect key metrics and goals.
  • Provide coverage for other supervisors as needed to support the needs of the business.
  • Lead FSQA site team of Supervisors and Auditors in support of QA Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Microbiology, or related field of science.
  • A minimum of 5 years Supervisor experience in food manufacturing
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong cross functional leadership
  • Working knowledge of various food processing technologies and their impact on quality and food safety (freezing, refrigerating, cooking, baking, etc.)
  • Ability to write technical reports
  • Versed in current version of GFSI (BRC, SQF, FSSC 2200)
  • Proficient knowledge of USDA and FDA regulations
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
