• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent experience. 
• Previous experience in a mortgage-licensed role providing support to Loan Officers and interacting with borrowers.
• Possession of or ability to obtain appropriate state-specific mortgage banking license. 
• Employment is subject to credit and background checks. Candidates must have a good credit history with no recent collections, bankruptcies, late payments, etc.
• Independent problem-solver with sound judgment. 
• Self-motivated and driven to succeed in a competitive environment.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Excellent organizational, teamwork, customer service and mathematical skills.
• Knowledge and proficiency in basic sales techniques.

What your day will look like

The primary function of our experienced Mortgage Associate is to assist the assigned Mortgage Specialist (Loan Officer) in growing and further developing the business in our existing databases while meeting and following up with potential customers to understand their financial needs and find the best mortgage options to suit them. You would be responsible for keeping borrowers happy and closing on-time.
 

The following duties would be applicable: 

• Facilitate the mortgage application process.
• Follow up with pre-qualified borrowers until they find their home and apply for the mortgage financing. 
• Assist borrowers with refinancing their existing loan. 
• Analyze borrower’s financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine loan feasibility. 
• Schedule client reviews and sales calls for the Mortgage Specialist. 
• Make outbound calls to borrowers for referrals and ongoing engagement. 
• Track Realtor production volume to see if there are additional opportunities
• Conduct outreach to local professionals for referral opportunities:  realtors, builders, CPAs, attorneys, etc.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and social media.
• Manage the loan pipeline from origination through closing. 
• Prepare loan program documentation and required management reports. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to underwriting, timing, disclosures, and market value.
• Provide regular updates to realtors and maintain strong communication.
• Manage lock loans and the pipeline efficiently. 
• Handle customer complaints professionally and turn those customers into “Raving Fans.”
