What to expect

As an AML Analyst you will join us on our journey and undertake a valuable role within the Financial Crime and AML Compliance team. Responsible for conducting a range of activities to ensure Post Office compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements relating to all aspects of financial crime.

As a member of the Financial Crime & AML Team you will be responsible for supporting the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in discharging their duties under prevailing Money Laundering Regulations in ensuring Post Office Limited (POL) has an effective Financial Crime Prevention Framework to protect against Money Laundering, Bribery and Corruption, and Financial Crime risks. As the AML Analyst, you will be responsible for support POL’s compliance with relevant regulatory, legal requirements and the minimum control standards as set out in the suite of Financial Crime Policies, by carrying out Suspicious Activity review and data entry work, monitoring bureau de change transaction activity and administration. You will also be responsible for non-conformance remediation by identifying, logging and tracking all aspects of assurance activities and non-conformance investigations, ensuring that appropriate intervention and correction activity has been undertaken.

  • Good communication/interpersonal skills – written, verbal and excellent telephone manner
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills in the context of financial crime 
  • Numerical ability to understand and interpret figures 
  • Ability to work as a team to ensure that high quality work and attention to detail is achieved
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (particularly Office 365, Excel, Word, Dynamics and PowerPoint), and the SharePoint system, plus some knowledge of Business Objects 
  • Discretion dealing with sensitive and confidential work
