Champion is hiring an Accounting Specialist to join their Accounting team! This role is responsible for managing essential financial operations, including overseeing client invoicing and ensuring meticulous documentation management to maintain accuracy and compliance with client requirements. They handle vendor invoice processing and payment oversight, collaborating closely with operations to uphold contractual obligations. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist coordinates auditing processes, verifies payment approvals, and cultivates strong vendor relationships, supporting effective financial oversight and collections efforts under senior management guidance.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Oversee the preparation of client invoices, including the collection and verification of required billing documents. Ensure accurate uploading of documents into clients' accounting systems.
• Manage the processing of vendor invoices and ensure timely payments in accordance with company policies and client agreements.
• Collaborate closely with operations staff to ensure adherence to necessary documentation and contractual obligations outlined in client agreements.
• Liaise with third-party auditing firms to verify invoice approvals and facilitate prompt payment processing.
• Maintain proactive communication with vendors to streamline invoice submissions and address payment inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist the Accounting Manager and Director in managing collections processes as required, contributing to effective financial management and strategic planning.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with auditing processes and payment verification procedures.
