WHOOP is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead Global Supply Management (GSM) across Boston and APAC. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, this leader will define and execute global sourcing strategies that ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and world-class supplier performance. This role will be instrumental in scaling procurement capabilities to support rapid growth, partnering cross-functionally to drive alignment from new product introduction through mass production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the global GSM organization across regions, establishing clear ownership, accountability, and performance standards
Define and execute sourcing strategies across key commodities, balancing cost, quality, lead time, and supply risk
Own executive-level supplier relationships, including contract manufacturers and strategic component suppliers, leading negotiations and long-term agreements
Drive cost excellence through should-cost modeling, cost roadmaps, and continuous cost reduction initiatives across the product lifecycle
Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure sourcing strategies support NPI, ramp, and sustaining production
Build and scale a high-performing global team, strengthening capabilities in negotiation, analytics, and supplier management
QUALIFICATIONS:
12+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or global supply management, ideally within consumer electronics or high-growth hardware environments
Proven experience leading and developing global, distributed teams
Deep expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost modeling
Strong understanding of electronics supply chains, including components, contract manufacturing, and APAC supplier ecosystems
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively across both strategic and executional responsibilities
Experience supporting new product introduction and scaling into mass production
Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence Engineering, Operations, and Finance partners
Willingness to travel internationally to support supplier engagement and business needs
Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions
