Primary Purpose
The Environmental Advisor – Water and Waste Management (EA-WWM) is responsible for performing and/or overseeing environmental tasks and implementing programs, policies, procedures, and processes in support of the Port Arthur LNG (PALNG) terminal facility's environmental compliance strategies. The EA-WWM maintains a strong working knowledge of water and waste-focused environmental regulations, permitting processes and how current and future regulations may impact operations.
The EA-WWM is responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reports and compliance certifications. The role manages the site waste handling contractors, ensures required sampling is performed, and oversees routine budget reconciliation and budget approval tasks. Investigates potential deviations and non-compliance with the site water discharge permit conditions, the SPCC Plan, and the SWPPP.
Duties may include regulatory applicability or permit amendment determinations, performing plan updates, managing water sampling/monitoring schedules and records, and ensuring all waste manifests and profiles are developed and maintained. Developing and conducting environmental training, auditing, providing technical guidance to business units, preparation of presentations and technical reports, and interpretation of data.
EA-WWM reports directly to the Environmental Superintendent and will primarily be located at the PALNG site. Occasional travel to Contractor's offices or HCOE may be required.
