Equipment Operator na Cache Valley Electric

Description

CVE's Signal & Utility team is looking for experienced and hard-working equipment operators to join our crews and work on projects throughout the Wasatch Front.  These positions provide excavation and site preparation for work associated with traffic signal installation and underground electrical and communication utilities.  Work consists of the following:

• Following safety practices, requirements, and policies to prevent accidents and/or injuries.
• Operating excavation equipment to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks according to project specifications.
• Installation of conduit, junction boxes, handholes, pedestals, vaults, etc.
• Safely and efficiently maneuvering equipment on construction sites.
• Collaborating with other crews and team members to coordinate work.
• Following construction plans and specifications.
• Assisting in construction and installation of foundations, cabinets, traffic signals, and street lighting.
• Operating all other equipment in conjunction with the work listed above.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an equipment operator; machine excavation experience preferred (mini-x to 350 series).
• Able to pass DOT drug test and obtain DOT medical card.
• Current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred, but not required).
• Must be able to work 40 plus hours per week.
• Flexibility to be assigned to work at various sites and locations.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50lbs of material regularly.
• Able to frequently walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb.
