Today, National Ramp is in search of a passionate and enthusiastic Director of Operations who will bring their expertise to our team and help us grow to become the #1 Ramp Company in the World.
The Director of Operations will develop and implement operational strategies, manage various departments, and ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the organization’s operations department.
- Lead cross-functional teams and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Oversee supply chain strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services.
- Execute dual sourcing strategy on all materials.
- Develop strategies to enhance supplier relationships and improve logistics.
- Build and scale internal production.
- Maintain and exceed freight budgets.
- Right-size staffing to meet and exceed the sales of the business, ensuring any order received by 12 o’clock ships that day.
- Maintain and sustain the facilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and partners.
- Manage and continue to strengthen the company’s S&OP process.
- Maintain ERP systems, data integrity, and inventory accuracy of greater than 98.5%.
- Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development.

Requirements
Operational Expertise:
- Deep understanding of operational management, including process improvement, resource management, supply chain logistics, and relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience overseeing manufacturing operations, including building and scaling internal production.
- Experience leading supply chain strategy, including dual sourcing and supplier relationship management.
- Experience managing logistics and freight budgets.
- Experience managing warehousing operations, including same-day shipping cutoffs and staffing to meet demand.
- Experience managing facilities operations and maintenance.
- Experience negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and partners.
- Experience owning and strengthening an S&OP process.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with business objectives.
- Experience in providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and cost.
Leadership and Management:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing operations team.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with other leaders.
- Experience leading and mentoring an operations team, fostering a culture of high performance and development.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex operational data, manage KPIs such as DIFOT, inventory turns, utilization and efficiency, rework hours, and COGS % to budget, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present operational information to various stakeholders including the board, employees, and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Technology Proficiency:
- Proficiency in operational management software and tools, including hands-on experience maintaining ERP systems, ensuring data integrity, and driving inventory accuracy of 98.5%+.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in operations, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Eligible to work in the United States.

Salary: The salary range for this position is 200,000-220,000 USD annually.
