Super is scaling fast, and we're hiring multiple Senior Engineering Managers to lead high-performing engineering teams across several product areas. In this role, you will drive technical excellence, shape impactful products, and play a key part in how we grow and operate engineering at scale. You will work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment where people leadership and engineering quality go hand in hand.

What the role involves

  • Hire, lead, and develop a team of engineers — including tech leads, software engineers, and QAs — who report directly to you
  • Ensure growth and development for all team members through coaching and mentoring, regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, and performance reviews; identify and remove roadblocks and distractions
  • Nurture strong relationships with other engineering managers, tech leads, and product managers across the organisation
  • Define priorities, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure regular updates and follow-ups on the team's scope of work
  • Support engineering department goals by setting team requirements, objectives, and timelines
  • Make relevant technical and business decisions that ensure predictable delivery in terms of timelines, stability, and performance
  • Build and maintain a culture of engineering excellence — upholding high standards of quality and reliability

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in both technical and people leadership within engineering
  • Strong track record of hiring engineers and establishing team culture
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Servant leadership mindset with a hands-on approach to engineering on a daily basis
  • Experience resolving complex engineering and communication challenges
  • Strong time management, organisational, and multitasking skills

Nice to have

  • Experience hiring and scaling distributed teams across multiple domains
  • Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining microservices-oriented applications
