Cura Health's Cura of Monticello facility is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support the development and implementation of engaging activities for our residents. This role focuses on enhancing the physical, emotional, and social well-being of residents by assisting in organizing and facilitating a variety of recreational and therapeutic programs. The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to create a warm, fun, and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in, organizing, and conducting recreational, social, and therapeutic activities tailored to the residents' interests and abilities.
  • Engage residents in group and individual activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
  • Prepare and maintain activity areas, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth program delivery.
  • Document resident participation and provide updates to the Activities Director and healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with staff to address residents' preferences and needs.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all activities and report any concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in activities assistance, recreational therapy, or similar roles preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to engage effectively with elderly and special needs populations.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for developing diverse and meaningful activities.
  • Physical ability to assist with activity set-up and participation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive community for residents.
  • Part time and Fulltime available!
  • Every other weekend requirement to work.
