Job Overview
Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, a leading provider of services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, is committed to fostering independence, inclusion, and meaningful growth. We are seeking a full-time ABA Clinical Director to lead our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs across Los Angeles County.
In this leadership role, the ABA Clinical Director will oversee the design, implementation, and quality of ABA services, ensuring all interventions are evidence-based and individualized. This position will provide clinical leadership to Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), behavior therapists, and program staff, while driving program excellence, compliance, and positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership (ABA Focus)
- Oversee all ABA clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral services.
- Develop, review, and approve individualized treatment plans based on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to BCBAs, BCaBAs, and behavior technicians (RBTs).
- Ensure consistent implementation of behavior intervention plans across home, clinic, school, and community settings.
Program Oversight & Development
- Design, implement, and evaluate ABA programs tailored to individuals with autism and related developmental disorders.
- Monitor client progress through data analysis and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Lead the expansion of ABA services based on community needs and best practices.
- Ensure alignment with funding sources such as regional centers, insurance providers, and school districts.
Staff Supervision & Training
- Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance evaluations for clinical staff.
- Ensure staff maintain competency in ABA methodologies, including functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and payer regulations, including documentation standards.
- Conduct regular audits of clinical records and data collection systems.
- Maintain adherence to ethical standards set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Address client safety concerns and ensure a high standard of care.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with families, caregivers, schools, and interdisciplinary providers to ensure holistic care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and leader within the organization.
- Support business development initiatives and community outreach efforts.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- Current certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (required)
- Active California licensure
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ABA service delivery, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong expertise in autism spectrum disorders and behavioral intervention strategies
- Experience with data collection systems and electronic health records preferred
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills
