This is a rare opportunity to join HPE’s world-class Global Communications team. With more than 100 communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. We’re looking for an intermediate communications team member who can learn and grow with our team and help us 1) educate team members about our business, products and services 2) celebrate and engage our technical talent, and 3) generate excitement for HPE’s innovation and our impact on the future of technology.
How you’ll make your mark:
As a member of the Team Member Communications team, you will be responsible for increasing awareness and understanding of our products, services, and innovation among HPE team members. You will support execution of communication programs that amplify our strategy internally, including product news and customer wins, to ensure each team member, no matter their role, understands and can advocate for our business.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute team member communication strategies, programs, and events that have a clear purpose, are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.
- Lead communication project work on a variety of topics ranging from, but not limited to, business, technology, innovation, technical talent, and leadership, through communication deliverables and content – articles, stories, video scripts, presentations, and executive talking points – and publish them through our communication channels.
- Strengthen engagement with HPE technologists and engineers through innovative, experimental experiences, content, and channels.
- Ensure clear, compelling, and consistent messaging aligned with HPE writing style guide and branding.
- Coordinate deliverables across stakeholders and program owners; project manage with leadership oversight to ensure accurate and timely communications.
- Partner with other global communicators to collaborate on communication strategies to ensure key innovation and product narratives are pulled through all available channels, where appropriate.
- Use data to continuously improve on communication tactics and team member engagement.
What we’re looking for:
- Superior writing, proofreading, and editing skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, simple language
- Comfortable asking questions to increase understanding
- Creative thinking and ability to experiment with new communications tactics and channels
- Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost integrity and discretion
- Confident in multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple projects at any given time
- Superior organization and program management skills
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Empowered to self-initiate and execute responsibilities
- A team spirit, willing to raise your hand and also ask for help when needed
- Flexible, with the ability to adapt to meet new challenges and evolving business needs
Qualifications:
- BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in employee communications, journalism, marketing or project/program management preferred
- General technical subject matter and industry knowledge is an asset, but not required
- Proficient command of English (US) language including excellent grammar, composition and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with content management systems, graphic design software, web/video editing, and social media platforms is a plus
- A portfolio of work available for review is preferred
