About the Role:
The incumbent will lead the marketing vision, communication strategy and branding for the Gujarati Cluster, driving impactful campaigns across on-air and integrated platforms. This role is central to shaping how audiences engage with our channel’s content, ensuring that all promotional output is compelling, consistent, and aligned with the brand identity. Operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, the incumbent will lead a team of marketing professionals to deliver innovative campaigns that maximize reach, engagement, and brand recall in collaboration with the Business Head, Content, Creative Communications, Insights, Brand Integration, Sales and Commercial teams. The incumbent will hold a pivotal position in shaping cultural trends and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the annual Marketing and Communication Plan for the channel brand and its programming line-up across allocated shows and slots.
- Lead marketing strategy and drive all impact campaigns, show launches, sustenance initiatives, and integrated promotional activities to grow channel reach, engagement, and viewership.
- Conceptualize and execute large-scale as well as micro-level brand activations, on-ground IPs, audience engagement initiatives, and experiential campaigns across markets.
- Lead end-to-end IP design and execution for channel-led properties, events, cultural integrations, and branded experiences in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and drive influencer marketing campaigns, creator collaborations, and digital-first audience engagement strategies to strengthen brand visibility and youth connect.
- Drive digital marketing initiatives across social media, performance marketing, content amplification, and audience engagement platforms to maximize campaign impact and recall.
- Plan and manage the marketing and OAP budget of the channel, along with all creative, media, digital, and activation agencies associated with the brand.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with production houses, creative partners, agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations and coordination of the Ahmedabad office, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration, operational efficiency, and execution excellence.
- Map and understand consumer behavior through deep collaboration with the Insights team to identify the right communication levers based on audience feedback and content performance.
- Lead, inspire, and manage a team of marketing professionals to deliver high-quality campaigns from concept to execution.
- Directly own all programming and channel-related communication across TV, print, digital, radio, on-ground, and integrated platforms for allocated shows and slots, including:
- Brand Marketing
- Impact Campaigns
- Sustenance Campaigns
- PR
- Digital Marketing
- Ground Activations & Events
- Partner closely with the Ad Sales organization and act as the custodian of the channel brand.
- Drive innovation in storytelling formats, promo styles, audience engagement techniques, and branded content integrations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, evolving audience preferences, platform innovations, and competitive content strategies.
Performance Measures:

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- MBA from a premium B School or P.G. in Film & TV Production.
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in media, broadcasting, or creative agencies, preferably within the television industry.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior and audience preferences.
- Passionate about content and skilled in excellent stakeholder management.
- Ability to collaborate and forge strong alliances within and outside the organization.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making, with a commercial savvy approach.
