The Facilities Technician Central Services, plays a vital role in supporting daily maintenance, facility requests, and mailroom operations at the Regional Headquarters. Reporting to the Senior Manager Central Services, this position is responsible for a wide range of office maintenance and mailroom tasks, ensuring efficient service delivery and seamless facility operations. The role requires ongoing collaboration and team support, all while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Respond promptly to and manage facilities requests using the internal work order system
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and address facility-related issues including but not limited to, repairs, inspection, equipment upkeep, carpentry, simple plumbing, painting, moving of boxes/furniture/supplies, small scale office reconfigurations, and building preventative maintenance
- Work closely (in partnership with the Senior Manager) supporting building management for any landlord repairs, service and needs that arise
- Provide first-class support to internal teams, visitors and vendors while addressing requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Act as a point of contact for any facility-related concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct daily walkthroughs of building to identify and action any issues, opportunities for improved operation and service excellence
- Support department and company-wide events, meetings, and trainings with set up, take down and furniture coordination
- Oversee and coordinate with external or service providers as needed for facilities related needs
- Act as a Safety Captain during emergencies and evacuations
- Order and maintain core office supplies including facilities related items
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including but not limited to daily delivery of office mail and packages
- Support ad hoc projects and tasks related to the Central Services function as needed and assigned supporting day-to-day operations of the Facilities and Mailroom teams.
YOUR TALENT
- Associate degree, Trade School or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in general maintenance and mailroom functions
- Basic knowledge of building operations, regulations, and construction trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire/Life Safety etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Must be onsite daily (Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm)
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. required
