Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. is currently seeking a qualified Project Financial Analyst to support our project management and finance teams in delivering comprehensive financial analysis and reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing project costs to ensure alignment with company objectives. This role is integral in providing financial insights that will guide key decision-making processes and enhance project performance. The Project Financial Analyst will monitor and analyze the financial plan on assigned contracts to ensure that the Project Team and Management are informed as to status and issues which can positively or negatively impact the overall revenue and margin plans and will support the Finance Department with business planning and forecasting of results.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and financial models to assist project teams in tracking financial performance.
- Conduct thorough variance analysis between projected and actual costs, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Monitor project financial metrics and KPIs, ensuring projects adhere to financial guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers to compile and maintain accurate project financial records and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, summarizing key project financial information for management review.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and financial data.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of project logistics and financial implications to provide timely and relevant support and advice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably in a project-based environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Capable of using ERP system and various other database formats and running ad-hoc queries/reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies is preferred.
Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually DOE
