Description

Head-Royce is hiring! We are looking for a Director of Alumni Relations which is a part a dynamic seven-person advancement team. The director is responsible for developing the strategy, programs, events, activities, and communications that deepen the school’s relationship with alumni, engage alumni in the life of the school, support alumni philanthropy, and build on alumni's connections with one another.  This position reports to the Director of Advancement.

Work in partnership with the Director of Annual Giving to:

  • Design strategy and plan for alumni annual giving
  • Create a sustainable cultivation and stewardship plan for alumni donor prospects
  • Meet Alumni Annual Fund participation and dollar goals

    • Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years in alumni relations, development, independent schools, marketing, or related fields.
  • Advanced computer skills; preferably with Raiser’s Edge.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding oral and written communications.
  • Demonstrated skill in planning and executing events.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to juggle long-range planning while prioritizing and completing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Engaging and motivating volunteer groups.
  • Experienced user of social media as a communications and engagement tool.
  • Travel in-state and nationally several times a year for regional alumni events.
  • Deep appreciation for the mission of Head-Royce School and knowledge of independent schools.
  • Entrepreneurial and are willing to do “whatever it takes.”
  • A team player who believes that working hard and having fun go hand-in-hand.
  • Desire to learn and improve your practice is infectious.
  • Ability to provide Livescan, SB848 and TB clearance
