Innovative Concrete, LLC is seeking a skilled and analytical Commercial Concrete Estimator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs for our commercial concrete projects. Your expertise will help guide our bidding processes and ensure we provide competitive proposals to our clients. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather relevant data and produce estimates that adhere to the specified scopes of work. Job Profile and Description: Construction Estimator

Reports to: Owner, Pre-Construction Director, Senior Estimator

Coordinates with: Project Managers, Engineers, and Subcontractors

To excel in this position, you should possess strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

 Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements:

• Review bid documents and evaluate drawings and specifications for project estimation.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs for materials, including concrete, rebar, and other items.
• Develop comprehensive cost items based on material take-offs and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing.
• Prepare detailed and accurate bid proposals for submission to clients.
• Participate in bid presentations and clarify estimates as required to clients and stakeholders.
• Analyze historical data to improve estimating techniques and accuracy.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and project bid documents.
• Assist in post-bid analysis and project reviews to enhance future estimating practices.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and updates regarding construction materials and methods.

• Proficient in concrete construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to focus on details and maintain accuracy in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in concrete estimating is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and possess a valid driver's license.
• Able to pass a federal criminal background check.

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a focus on concrete projects.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
