About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Governance Analyst to join our team. This role is central to ensuring secure, compliant, and cost-effective use of cloud services across the organization. You will work closely with development teams, security, and infrastructure to implement and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and controls.
The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge of Azure with an understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. This position offers the opportunity to shape how the organization manages cloud resources while ensuring alignment with internal controls and regulatory standards.
What you'll do:
- Develop, implement, and maintain cloud governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices
- Ensure consistent and secure use of cloud services across all environments
- Implement security controls aligned with SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST requirements
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing evidence and supporting assessments
- Apply security best practices such as least privilege access, segregation of duties, and defense in depth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote cloud governance best practices and drive continuous improvement.
- Support CI/CD governance ensuring security and compliance in deployment processes
- Collaborate with development teams to implement governance without blocking delivery
- Monitor and Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement optimization strategies
- Document processes, runbooks, and governance guidelines
- Drive continuous improvement in cloud governance maturity
What you'll need:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience in cloud governance, infrastructure, or security roles
- Relevant certifications are a plus: AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500, SC-300, ITIL
- English: Intermediate to Advanced (reading technical documentation, written and verbal communication)
- Experience navigating and administering Azure services such as Azure Policy, Entra ID, RBAC, and Service Principals.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including governance and security of CI/CD pipelines and configuration/enforcement of Branch Policies.
- Understanding of security best practices: least privilege, access reviews, segregation of duties
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks: SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001
- Experience supporting IT internal controls and audit processes
- Desired knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, IaC governance and security scanning.
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban) and familiarity with Agile project management practices.
- Experience in basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar) to automate repetitive governance tasks are desirable.
