Description
GOVX is a fast-growing ecommerce business with our catalog representing our largest asset. New catalog partnerships have the largest influence and impact on GOVX’s overall company growth. To accelerate our company growth, we are looking for a proven sales professional to join our growing sales team. The Associate Account Executive (Associate AE) plays a key role in every GOVX partnership type and is integral to the scaling of GOVX's ecommerce sales channels, marketing services and GOVX ID verification services.
The Associate AE, Partnerships is responsible for owning and closing new partnership opportunities within their categories of focus. Understanding how to prioritize opportunities and what will drive impact within the GOVX model is integral to the success of new partnerships. This is a collaborative role where the individual will be required to work strategically alongside other departments including but not limited to Sales Development, Category Management, Marketing, and Finance.
Success will be measured by the performance of new partners closed by the Associate AE. This performance will be supported by a competitive compensation package (base+variable payout). The role will also work with companies across multiple industries to achieve the stated financial targets through a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Research and understand each targeted vertical and understand prevailing trends.
- Advocate for new partners by collaborating and communicating with Category Management to establish go-to-market strategy within assigned verticals.
- Build a pipeline of new partners in targeted industries and close new partners efficiently.
- Ability to bring a partnership mindset to prospective deals.
- Can identify what is valued by those on the other side of the negotiating table.
- Able to think outside the box to illustrate how we bring value to new partners.
- Accurately and thoroughly leverage CRM to maintain data and pipeline efficiency.
- This role may include the support of one or more SDRs (Sales Development Rep) and it is the AE’s responsibility to ensure the top of funnel focus and strategy is connected to the priorities and needs of the Category.
- Active mentorship of any SDRs within the AE’s Category pod
- Actively prioritize tasks and opportunities to ensure effective pipeline management.
- Build relationships and establish trust with existing and potential partners.
- Drive the contracting process through to execution and maintain all contracts.
- Support the Partner Success team and Onboarding Manager to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new partners.
- Provide fully updated, executed and accurate contracts and/or relevant paperwork to Finance & Accounting to ensure all Partner requirements have been met.
- Identify, surface and support the creation of effective sales enablement materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2+ Years of relevant sales experience
- 3+ Years in an office environment
- Self-starter who can think strategically and prioritize tasks according to company goals.
- Proven ability to prospect key clients and close business
- Proven negotiation skills and strategy
- CRM understanding and experience
- Great at relationship building and partnership development
- Excellent organization and time management
- Excellent follow-through and a drive to get things done
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solution and results oriented

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel Requirements
This position will have limited travel requirements (Estimated 10%)
Performance
Performance is measured and expected to hit certain benchmarks to ensure delivery against the annual GOVX Budget/Plan. Benchmarks will be applied to the below verticals:
- Catalog - Net New Margin
- Marketing Services – Net New Margin

Salary Range
$65,000.00 annual base, w/variable compensation plan
