Description
Support and shape strategic growth plans across assigned business segments. This role partners closely with leadership to drive organic growth initiatives, evaluate short- and long-term cash flow impacts, and lead targeted strategic projects as needed. The position works in close collaboration with Strategic Operations leadership, Business Segment management, and cross-functional teams across TEiC Construction and Babcock Power Services.
Strategic Operations provides the framework and facilitation; Business Segments provide insightand execution.

Position Description
- Analyze industry and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support the strategic planning process for assigned business segments in partnership with Business Segment leadership and Finance.
- Assist in developing, testing, and refining market and competitive analysis, including market sizing, competitor benchmarking, and broader industry trend assessments.
- Conduct targeted research to address specific business questions related to markets, products, and service offerings.
- Identify, propose, and evaluate new organic growth initiatives aligned with business segment priorities.
- Lead and support the execution of strategic initiatives, tracking progress against key milestones and financial targets, coordinating across departments, balancing competing priorities, and ensuring ongoing alignment with evolving business objectives.
- Prepare materials and analyses for regular updates to business segment and corporate leadership, supporting both formal presentations and working discussions, and facilitating conversations around strategic options.
- Contribute to quarterly portfolio reviews, evaluating free cash flow performance, short- and long-term growth outlooks, and impacts to value creation using discounted cash flow and EBITDA multiple perspectives.
- Provide limited support to the Strategic Operations M&A team as needed, including market analysis and integration planning.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related engineering discipline
Experience
- 1–2 years in business development, strategic planning, strategy consulting, equity research, marketing research, or another analytically driven role
- Prior industry experience (1–3 years) is preferred
Skills & Capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence and analytics tools
- Strong foundation in financial modeling and business case development
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
