We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Case Manager to manage pre-litigation personal injury matters from A–Z. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their caseload, and understands the full lifecycle of a PI claim- from intake through settlement.

The Case Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and internal team members, ensuring each case is handled with urgency, accuracy, and compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full pre-litigation personal injury caseload from intake through settlement
  • Review police reports, incident reports, and intake documentation
  • Identify coverage, request and analyze insurance policies, and confirm policy limits
  • Open claims with insurance carriers and maintain ongoing communication
  • Coordinate medical treatment, follow up on care, and track treatment progression
  • Request, review, and organize medical records and billing
  • Monitor statutes, deadlines, and case milestones
  • Help prepare demand packages, including liability summaries, medical summaries, and damages documentation
  • Assist attorneys with settlement negotiations and pre-litigation strategy

Client Communication

  • Serve as a consistent, empathetic point of contact for clients
  • Provide proactive updates and manage client expectations
  • Educate clients on the PI process and next steps
  • Maintain a high standard of client service and professionalism

Internal Coordination & Systems

  • Accurately update case management software and internal tracking systems
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, litigation teams, and management
  • Ensure compliance with firm procedures and best practices
  • Contribute to team goals, firm initiatives, and process improvements

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in personal injury case management
  • Strong understanding of liability, damages, medical treatment, and insurance processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload without sacrificing quality
  • Strong follow-up skills and sense of ownership
  • Experience with case management software preferred
  • California PI experience strongly preferred
