The Associate Director of Admissions plays a critical leadership role in advancing the university’s mission by attracting, enrolling, and supporting high-quality students while ensuring the effective daily operation of the Admissions Team. This dynamic, hands-on leadership position combines direct student enrollment responsibilities with team oversight, coaching, and strategic execution. In addition to leading and developing Admissions Representatives, the ideal candidate remains actively engaged in recruiting and enrolling students, modeling ethical, consultative, and results-driven admissions practices. Leveraging experience and data-driven insight, the Associate Director contributes to advertising strategy, enrollment forecasting, staffing planning, and the achievement of quarterly and annual enrollment goals.
Essential Functions:
- Actively recruit, engage, and enroll prospective students, maintaining a personal enrollment contribution while modeling best-in-class admissions practices.
- Assist Admissions leadership with the day-to-day management, coaching, and performance oversight of the Admissions Representative Team.
- Maintain accurate and timely daily tracking sheets for all academic programs.
- Motivate, inspire, and energize the Admissions Team to consistently meet and exceed departmental enrollment goals.
- Ensure all Admissions Representatives maintain current knowledge of programs, admissions processes, and sales methodologies.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with required return-call frequency and follow-up schedules.
- Ensure all representatives adhere to ethical, compliant best practices related to advertising, recruitment, and enrollment.
- Participate in departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other university meetings or events as required.
- Adhere to all requirements of accrediting, federal, and state agencies, as well as university policies and procedures.
- Provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, partners, and all university constituencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer/President of the university.
- Maintain an acceptable level of performance as measured by supervisory evaluation and student feedback, as applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) or more years of experience serving as a Director, Associate Director, or Assistant Director of Admissions within higher education.
- Related job titles within higher education may include Admissions Manager, Enrollment Manager, Senior Admissions Counselor, or Director of Enrollment Management, provided experience includes team leadership and direct student enrollment responsibility.
- Ability to meet minimum requirements of accrediting, state, and federal agencies related to education, work experience, and any required certification or licensure.
- Working knowledge of institutional, accrediting, state, and federal laws, regulations, and compliance standards in higher education.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
- Proficiency in computer systems and technology platforms commonly used in higher education admissions and enrollment management.
- Compensation: $85,000–$100,000 annually, based on education, experience, and demonstrated enrollment performance.

- Ability to read fine print, operate computers, and understand voices clearly.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 10–25 pounds as needed.
