Description
The Greenridge Group is a prime contractor and consulting firm specializing in Project and Construction Management for major public-sector agencies.
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager III to support the Terminal 5 Renovation and Reconstruction Program at LAX, a large-scale, active-airport construction environment.
This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional who thrives in complex, high-visibility projects, can confidently manage scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder coordination, and understands the unique challenges of working in an operating airport environment.
Salary Range: $185K-$200K/Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee on-site construction activities for major terminal renovation and rebuild scopes
- Act as the primary construction liaison between the Design/Builder, LAWA, and stakeholders
- Ensure construction work complies with approved plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change documents
- Monitor and manage scope, cost, schedule, and resource allocation to meet project milestones
- Lead and enforce a strong safety, security, quality, and environmental culture
- Identify risks early and take preventative action to protect schedule and budget
- Review potential Change Order claims, assess merit, and support negotiation through resolution
- Coordinate construction phasing, shutdowns, and operational interfaces in an active airport setting
- Prepare periodic progress reports for senior management and clients
- Participate in coordination meetings with Design/Builder, trade partners, LAWA Operations, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with LAWA standards, policies, and Project Labor Agreement (PLA) requirements
Requirements
- 10+ years of construction management experience, preferably on airport or active facilities projects
- Proven experience managing large, complex projects (>$100M preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and contract administration
- Experience across the full construction lifecycle: preconstruction through closeout
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, stakeholder-heavy environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Aviation, or related field (required)
- Master’s degree (preferred)
- Professional certifications a plus (PMP, PE, LEED, AAAE, AICP, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Familiarity with Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as PM Web
