Job Summary:
This role is responsible for supporting business development through the collection, organization, and analysis of material costs and pricing data specifically for proposals and contract pursuits. The Pricing Analyst component ensures accurate, competitive, and compliant pricing strategies during the proposal phase, collaborating closely with the business development team to inform bid decisions and support contract acquisition.
The Salesforce Analyst component takes the lead in analyzing sales and operational trends using Salesforce data. This includes monitoring opportunities, supplier and customer engagement, margins, capture rates, win rates, and other key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in sales and operational execution. The role provides actionable insights to leadership, helping optimize business outcomes and operational efficiency throughout the contract lifecycle.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:
Pricing Analyst:
- Determine proposed material unit costs based on quotes and procurement history.
- Review procurement history for trends in material prices across business segments.
- Assist with transitioning material costs and assumptions from business development to operations after contract award.
- Analyze actual material costs post-award compared to estimates to assess accuracy, trends, and risks; improve estimating techniques.
- Support sourcing and negotiation of material costs.
- Analyze Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) rules and indices, present risk assessments to the pricing team.
- Analyze government counteroffers on proposals to identify trends and negotiation tactics.
- Update material costs after proposal submittal in preparation for negotiations.
- Assist with analytical projects related to competitor pricing and government estimates.
Salesforce Analyst:
- Analyze Salesforce data to identify trends in opportunities, suppliers, customers, margins, amounts, capture rates, win rates, and other KPIs.
- Design, build, and maintain Salesforce reports and dashboards to support multiple stakeholders and their teams.
- Ensure completeness and quality of sales data in Salesforce; monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting for leadership teams, including opportunity pipeline, revenue forecasts, and supplier/customer performance.
- Identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations to Sales Operations and Business Development leads.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- 2 + years of pricing experience and 2+ years of Salesforce analytics experience. May include military personnel who have been formerly trained or have relevant experience in lieu of civilian experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
- Experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and data management.
- Analytical skills in evaluating sales and pricing data, identifying trends, and presenting actionable insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Highly meticulous and organized to execute multiple projects at once, adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to engage in and exchange communication with others in all situations.

Pay: $68,455 - 82,976
