Your role and responsibilities
As a Brand Technical Specialist: Storage Portfolio, you will act as a technical consultant to clients and IBM sellers, providing technical sales support for the Storage portfolio. This role involves delivering technical solutions and supporting clients in their storage needs. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Deliver Proofs of Concept (POC): Design and implement POCs to demonstrate the capabilities of IBM Storage solutions, including Brocade Directors, Switches & Extension Switches, Cloud Object Storage, and other products. • Architect Storage Solutions: Collaborate with clients to understand their storage requirements and design tailored solutions using IBM Storage products, such as Elastic Storage Server, FlashSystems, and Hyper Protect Services. • Provide Technical Sales Support: Offer technical guidance and support to IBM sellers and clients on IBM Storage products, including SAN Volume Controller, Storage Archive, and Storage Control. • Implement Storage Solutions: Apply technical knowledge to implement IBM Storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. • Support Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their storage needs and provide technical support for IBM Storage solutions.
Required technical and professional expertise
• Exposure to Storage Technologies: Familiarity with storage products, including Brocade Directors, Switches & Extension Switches, Cloud Object Storage, Elastic Storage Server, FlashSystems, and Hyper Protect Services.
• Experience with Solution Design: Knowledge of designing and implementing storage solutions, including architecting and integrating multiple products.
• Technical Sales Support Skills: Ability to provide technical guidance and support on IBM Storage products, including SAN Volume Controller, Storage Archive, and Storage Control.
• Implementation Expertise: Experience with implementing storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Product Knowledge: Familiarity with IBM Storage products, including Storage Insights, Storage Suite for IBM Cloud Paks, System Storage DS8K, Tape Libraries, TS11xx Tape Drives, and Virtual Tape Systems.
Preferred technical and professional experience
