Your role and responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Cortex XSOAR playbooks
Develop and customize Python automation scripts for security use cases
Handle playbook logic, conditions, tasks, and error handling
Integrate security tools (EDR, SIEM, Email Security, Firewalls, Threat Intel) with XSOAR
Create and manage custom integrations, scripts, and commands
Troubleshoot and optimize playbook execution failures
Automate incident triage, enrichment, containment, and response
Work closely with SOC (L1/L2/L3) teams to translate use cases into automation
Maintain version control and follow secure coding practices
Document playbooks, automations, and operational runbooks
Support production rollout, tuning, and post-deployment optimization
Required technical and professional expertise
Programming
Strong hands-on experience with Python
Experience writing reusable, modular, and secure Python code
Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and data parsing
SOAR / XSOAR
Hands-on experience with Cortex XSOAR
Playbook development (pre-processing, tasks, conditions, sub-playbooks)
Automation scripts and Python-based integrations
Incident types, layouts, fields, and classifiers/mappers
Preferred technical and professional experience
Experience with Cortex XSOAR content development
Knowledge of SOAR KPIs and automation success metrics
Exposure to CI/CD for SOAR content.
