Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect with deep Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) expertise to lead the design and delivery of automation for a global enterprise initiative. This role will support automated end‑of‑financing communications for a US customer.

The Technical Architect will own the end‑to‑end technical solution, including data integration, automation design, dynamic content strategy, reporting, testing, and documentation—while ensuring scalability, data integrity, and future‑state readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

  • Design and govern the Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture.
  • Ensure the solution supports multiple financed assets per customer, including overlapping or differing end‑of‑term dates.
  • Build a scalable and modular solution that accommodates future enhancements and platform evolution.

Data Integration & Management

  • Review and model inbound financial data files provided monthly by the finance organization.
  • Design and manage Salesforce Marketing Cloud Data Extensions to support personalization and automation.
  • Ensure data refresh processes are reliable, auditable, and well documented.
  • Partner with marketing and data teams to align with existing data dictionaries and best practices.
  • Create field‑level technical documentation to support potential future migration to Salesforce Sales Cloud.

Marketing Automation & Journey Design

  • Architect and oversee the setup of automated processes and journeys
  • Ensure proper triggering, timing, segmentation, and compliance with business logic.
  • Define error handling, validation, and reprocessing strategies.

Reporting & Analytics Enablement

  • Design automated performance reporting for business stakeholders.
  • Ensure reports provide visibility into engagement metrics and customer‑level interaction data.
  • Support ongoing optimization through data‑driven insights.

Testing, Validation & Deployment

  • Define and lead end‑to‑end testing strategy, including data validation and automation testing.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and final business approvals.
  • Ensure production readiness and controlled rollout of automation.

Documentation & Governance

  • Produce comprehensive technical documentation covering data models, automations, journeys, and personalization logic.
  • Ensure solution governance supports long‑term maintainability and future system changes.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including:
    • Automation Studio
    • Journey Builder
    • Data Extensions
    • AMPscript and dynamic content
  • Proven experience designing marketing automation solutions with complex data relationships.
  • Strong data modeling and integration experience.
  • Ability to document and communicate technical designs clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud or platform migration planning.
  • Experience in financial services, leasing, or asset‑based customer communications.
  • Experience working with external marketing agencies or implementation partners.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications.
