Manufacturing Engineering Technician 2 (Sports Optics Assembly)
Typical Base Pay Rate Range of $26/hour - $32/hour (DOE)
Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician plays a vital role in supporting our diverse assembly production team to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets are consistently met. What You’ll Be Doing as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician 2:
- Responding to requests from production and engineering to resolve safety concerns, ensure quality, troubleshoot production issues, and improve efficiency.
- Evaluating parts, processes, and tooling for issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Escalating problems to appropriate support departments based on investigation.
- Communicating findings and status updates.
- Developing, controlling, and maintaining a variety of manufacturing work instructions, and other supporting documentation materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Manufacturing Engineering Technician 2:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and 5 years of experience problem-solving in a manufacturing environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation such as part drawings, assembly specifications, work instructions, technical data sheets, and safety data sheets.
- Experience with basic metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, and hard gaging.
- Demonstrated software skills across a variety of program types including Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and project management tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail and follow through.
Work Environment for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician 2:
Work takes place in a manufacturing environment and requires the use of light tools and machinery. This role frequently requires lifting or moving up to 15 pounds. Occasional travel may be required.
