Emergency Department

- $55–$60/hr, depending on experience
The Level 2 Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. This part-time role supports both day and night shifts and requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage high-acuity patients, and effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary emergency care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency interventions as ordered
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Assist with trauma response and emergency procedures
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to hospital safety, quality, and infection control standards
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Level 2 RN experience with demonstrated Emergency Department competency
- Prior Emergency Department experience preferred
- BLS required
- Strong critical-thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
Schedule & Work Requirements:
- Part-Time: 2 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Days/Nights rotation
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call required
