Overview
Are you passionate about the breadth of Microsoft’s customers - from Information Workers to IT admins - and do you want to help make Copilot an indispensable tool for every Excel user, especially on mobile?
If so, the Excel Chat team would love to talk to you.
About the Team
Excel Chat builds Copilot-powered experiences that help people understand, transform, and act on data in Excel. We partner across Excel engineering, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Office design/research, and identity/security/compliance to deliver experiences that are fast, trustworthy, and globally scalable.
We’re a collaborative, customer-obsessed team that values tight feedback loops - from customer conversations to telemetry to experimentation - and we move quickly while protecting trust.
About the Position
You will join as a Product Manager responsible for bringing agentic, intelligent experiences to Excel Mobile - experiences that don’t just answer questions, but help users complete multi-step tasks inside real workbooks.
You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and partner teams to define scenarios, ship features, and iterate based on user feedback and data. This is a strong fit for someone who loves combining crisp product thinking with hands-on execution.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

-
Using telemetry and experimentation (A/B testing, flights, cohorts) to learn quickly, identify pain points, and improve outcomes.
-
Building trust into the product through transparent previews, clear “what changed” moments, and strong undo/revert patterns.
-
Collaborating across teams (Copilot, M365 platform, identity/security/compliance) to ensure the experience is reliable and enterprise-ready.
