The HR Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Enterprise Electrical’s human resources function across a multi-state, safety-sensitive workforce. This role is responsible for setting HR strategy, ensuring compliance, and building scalable people programs that support continued growth, operational excellence, and a strong employee experience across both field and office populations.

The HR Director serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and oversees employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits strategy, talent development, HR operations, and HR team leadership. This role plays a critical part in mitigating risk, strengthening leadership effectiveness, and aligning people strategy with business objectives in a fast growing electrical construction environment.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

·       Lead and oversee the company’s full-service HR function supporting a multi-state workforce across field and office operations.

·       Serve as the senior HR partner to executive leadership, providing guidance on workforce strategy, organizational design, and people related risk.

·       Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

·       Oversee employee relations matters including investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, terminations, and dispute resolution.

·       Coach and advise leaders on people management, documentation, compliance, and accountability best practices.

·       Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture aligned with Enterprise Electrical’s values.

·       Oversee compensation philosophy, wage structures, and pay practices for hourly and salaried roles.

·       Partner with executive leadership and Finance on compensation planning, pay equity, and market analysis.

·       Oversee benefits strategy and administration including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), PTO, and voluntary benefit programs.

·       Lead benefits vendor relationships, renewals, and open enrollment planning and execution.

·       Ensure strong partnership with Payroll to support accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance.

·       Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, EEOC, ADA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, FMLA, OSHA, prevailing wage laws, and Davis Bacon requirements.

·       Oversee multi-state employment compliance and evolving labor law requirements.

·       Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning processes.

·       Lead performance management, leadership development, and succession planning initiatives.

·       Develop and track HR metrics, workforce analytics, and reports for executive leadership.

·       Oversee the HR department budget and resource planning.

·       Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, establishing clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations.

·       Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and scalability across HR systems and programs.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

·       Minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive HR experience.

·       Minimum of 3 to 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.

·       Demonstrated experience overseeing employee relations, compliance, compensation, and benefits.

·       Experience supporting multi-state workforces and field based operations.

·       Experience within construction, electrical, industrial, or safety sensitive environments preferred.

·       Ability and willingness to travel to support regional operations and project sites.

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements

·       Primarily office based with regular travel to project sites and regional offices.

·       Must be able to walk job sites, climb stairs, and navigate commercial facilities as needed.

·       Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during key initiatives or implementations.
