Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute weekly sales reports, including insights and commentary
- Support retail sales and consumer/category reporting, including tracking new item launches and planogram performance
- Lead ROI analysis on new programs and distribution opportunities
- Leverage category insights to inform assortment decisions in partnership with space planning
- Manage in-store merchandising programs from concept through completion
- Support item maintenance for retailer item setups
- Monitor and report on competitive brand launches and retail events
- Provide general administrative support, including sending samples and completing listing forms
- Ensure customer requests for information are addressed in a timely manner
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to support account needs
- Assist in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers and decision-makers
Requirements:
- Must be a rising junior or senior at the time of the internship
- Must be available for the full internship period: June 1st - August 28th
- Available for in-office work at least three days per week
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in CPG (beauty preferred) and supporting major retail accounts
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to deliver results
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Team-oriented, responsive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrates initiative and confidence in troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Passion for beauty
Business Rationale:
- This summer, the e.l.f.tern will assist with the overall business across e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, and Naturium within Ulta and other specialty retailers. The role will help maintain calendar planning by tracking weekly sales, sampling initiatives, secondary placements, and other business activities. The intern will also own sample requests across accounts, support account specialists with item setups and various needs, and track competitive activity across mass skincare, mass body care, and mass cosmetics categories.
