Overview:
Join our outstanding team as a Hostess and be the first point of contact, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Guest Engagement & Service:
  • Welcome guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere as they arrive. Ensure that each guest feels valued and attended to from the moment they step through the door. Manage reservations, seat guests promptly, and provide accurate wait times when necessary. Address any special requests or concerns efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.
  • Seating & Organization:
  • Efficiently manage the seating chart, ensuring that tables are filled in an organized and timely manner. Coordinate with the waitstaff and management to optimize seating arrangements and ensure a smooth flow of service. Ensure the dining area is ready for guests, including setting up menus, and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
  • Guest Communication & Experience:
  • Act as the main point of contact for guest inquiries, offering recommendations and information about the restaurant. Be proactive in anticipating guest needs, such as assisting with coats, helping them settle comfortably, and guiding them through any specific requests. Ensure that all guests feel welcomed and valued, fostering an atmosphere of hospitality and warmth.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure that all health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained throughout service. Adhere to safety protocols regarding guest and staff well-being. Monitor cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area to ensure a positive and safe experience for guests and colleagues.
  • Teamwork & Communication:
  • Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and a positive guest experience. Communicate effectively during busy service periods, providing support where needed to maintain a calm and efficient environment. Actively participate in team meetings and briefings to stay informed about guest preferences, special events, or any changes to service procedures.
  • Key Qualifications & Requirements

  • Language Skills: Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential to effectively communicate with guests and team members.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hospitality (minimum 1 year) is highly valued, though a passion for service and a natural ability to host are equally important.
  • Hospitality Mindset: Must possess a genuine enthusiasm for the hospitality industry, with a warm, approachable, and guest-first attitude.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and during special events, as required by the hotel's operations.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong ability to make thoughtful decisions, handle guest feedback constructively, and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are required in line with Aethos scheduling standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.
  • Compliance: Adherence to all Aethos Hotel standards, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures to ensure a smooth and secure environment for guests and staff.
  • Team Contribution: Actively seek ways to improve service, enhance team productivity, and contribute to a positive and solution-oriented work culture.
  • Professional Demeanor: Maintain a consistently warm, friendly, and genuine presence while upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
